In Redding

Last weekend I got back into Redding, it was a long journey that took a bit longer than 30 hours total, from door to door. Apart from that the 9 hour time difference was not fun overcoming. A week later I am still going to bed early and waking up early. Part of that is I got sick on Saturday with a collection of fever, nausea and other digestive problems. Was not fun at all. I think the worst thing I have ever experienced is throwing up and the feelings directly before. Not the worst thing that someone can experience I know but it is the worst that I have. Yet, in it all, God is good and awesome, He got me through, with lots of help from my girlfriend, Helen, nursing me back to health. It was a great exercise in not falling into self-pity and continuing to war against the sickness, whilst depending on others to help me out and take care of me. All told, I am glad I am over it, I am still a little sick but the worst is behind me.
This week, starting today, we have an incredible treat, Randy Clark is doing a healing conference and the students actually get to go! Normally we are told not to come so as to make room for the normal church people, but this time it is mandatory that we go. I am really excited, and my reasons are two fold. First I am excited to learn all about Healing in church history and the intricacies of how it works. Second I have several things in my own body, eyes, aches and pains, and residual sickness, that I would love to see get completely healed. Whoohoo! No more glasses for me! I will keep you posted on the results of what I learned and what got healed at the end of the week.
